About this course
This course is designed for individuals operating portable cutting and grinding equipment, including Stihl saws and handheld grinders. A significant number of users of such equipment lack proper training, leading to unsafe practices and an increased risk of accidents. The primary goal of this course is to mitigate the risk associated with portable cutting equipment by instructing delegates on safe usage.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Inspect and understand the safe operation of cutting equipment.
- Properly select, inspect, and replace cutting or grinding wheels.
- Identify key associated hazards and implement control measures.
- Recognize the appropriate personal protective equipment to minimise the risk of personal injury.
Delegates who successfully complete the course will be awarded a certificate.
