CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
About this course
This program is tailored for individuals in managerial or supervisory positions, including Managers, Supervisors, and other company personnel overseeing construction projects or specific project elements.
Upon completing the course, participants should be able to:
- Recognise current legislation and standards influencing the management and organisation of construction sites.
- Assess their adherence to safety, health, and welfare responsibilities in the workplace.
- Expand their knowledge and skills beyond the course curriculum.
- Identify relevant safety, health, and welfare practices and procedures.
- Cultivate a positive and forward-thinking approach to safety, health, and welfare.
- Develop effective management techniques for addressing future safety, health, and welfare concerns.
Designed as a progression from the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), this course serves as a natural step for those aspiring to advance their careers.
The program spans five days, conducted over five consecutive weeks, and full attendance on all days is mandatory for course completion. Evaluation includes ongoing tasks throughout the course and a final assessment on the last day. Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a certificate.
